Germany's healthcare sector, renowned for its "Made in Germany" quality, has been a cornerstone of innovation in diagnostics, medical products, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and information and communication technology for many years. With around 12,500 medical technology companies and 360 pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms employing nearly one million people, the sector added almost 440 billion euros in gross value in 2022.
In 2021, the German healthcare system expenditure was approximately 470 billion euros, and in 2022, the industry’s exports soared to 186.2 billion euros, with medical technology and pharmaceuticals leading the charge. Germany’s healthcare industry is a high-tech sector, heavily investing in research and development, driving growth and innovation.
MGCC is pleased to announce a Fact-Finding Mission to Germany in November 2024, focusing on Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, and Digital Wellness industries. In cooperation with the main organiser SBS systems for business solutions GmbH and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs & Climate Action, this mission will begin in Düsseldorf, the capital of North-Rhine Westphalia. Participants will visit various companies and facilities, gaining insights into advanced technologies in these industries.
The program includes meetings and networking sessions with key German market players and will likely coincide with the renowned MEDICA Trade Fair, the World Forum for Medicine and International Exhibition & Conference from 11 to 15 November 2024.
The ground program, including visits, networking, meetings, and group transport, is free of charge. However, participants must cover their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses. Travel and accommodation arrangements must be made individually.
